Are you ready to take your site’s SEO to the next level? Yoast SEO Premium Features you can rely on to get you there! You may already be familiar with the free version of Yoast SEO. So, what exactly is the difference between the free and the premium version?
Let’s find out all about the most important features that you’ll get when you upgrade to Yoast SEO Premium! I can already tell you this: it will save you a lot of time and effort.
SEO Analysis in Yoast Premium Features

Let’s start with our SEO analysis. In our free plugin, the SEO analysis helps you optimize each post for one keyphrase. But what if you want a post to rank for slightly different, but related keyphrases as well? Well, if you upgrade to Yoast SEO Premium, you can add multiple relevant keyphrases and get SEO feedback for each one. Optimizing for related keyphrases and synonyms is a smart thing to do anyway, as it not only creates more and better ranking opportunities, but also makes your text much more pleasant to read.
You can manually add up to four related keyphrases, but you can also use the tool yoast created in partnership with SEMrush. This tool helps you find and add high-performing related keyphrases.
Redirect Manager – Yoast SEO Premium Features

Another awesome tool you get when you upgrade to the Premium plugin is our redirect manager. In fact, this tool is why many of our users upgrade. Why? Because it will save you a lot of time and energy. But first, let me tell you why you need to create redirects in the first place.
When you delete a page, it doesn’t just disappear from the search engine index. That means that people could still land on it. When they do, they’ll find a 404 error. That’s poor user experience which could harm be harmful to your seo .
It also mean any value that page had – from links and mentions – is lost forever. So it’s really important to avoid those dead-ends. You can do this by redirecting your users to another page. Redirect manager lets you do just that.
It even helps you to automatically create redirects when you move or delete content. Every time you delete a post or page, or edit your URL, the plugin will warn you. Then, all you need to do is click a button, add the URL you want to redirect to, and the plugin will do the rest. Easy, right? Way better than creating all these redirects manually.
In addition to the notifications, you also have access to this overview page. Here you can manage all the redirects you’ve created. So, this is great for your workflow.
Site Structure
Another major SEO aspect that Yoast SEO Premium helps you with is your site structure. One of the ways to build and maintain your site structure is by linking similar posts and pages together. Relevant and related links make your pages easy to find and they allow readers to explore your website.
The links are also great for search engines because they use links to crawl, index, and rank pages! Of course, you can’t be expected to know the URLs of all your posts and pages by heart.

That’s where we step in. Yoast SEO Premium shows suggestions for internal links in real-time! While you’re writing your newest post, the plugin analyzes your text. It considers all the other content you’ve already created and matches your new post to relevant pages on your site.
As I’ve said, we automatically show these suggestions, so you won’t have to find them yourself. The only thing left for you to do, is click on the copy/paste icon and then paste the link into your copy. So, the Yoast internal linking tool can significantly increase your chances to rank high while saving you a ton of time!
If you are using the block editor, you will get even more time-saving tools that will help you add internal links. I’m talking about our internal linking blocks. They are simple but very effective. Basically, with the click of a button, they automatically add a list with the appropriate links to your posts or pages.
Orphaned Content

While we’re talking about internal links, let’s talk about orphaned content too. Orphaned content is content that doesn’t get any links from other posts or pages on the same website. As a result, search engines and visitors can’t find it. In the past, it used to be hard to track down orphaned content.
But now, with the orphaned content filter in Yoast SEO Premium, it’s a piece of cake. Coupled with the internal linking tool you’ll start linking these posts in no-time!
Word-form Recognition

OK, back to the SEO analysis, because there is another cool feature I would like to tell you about. If you use Yoast SEO Premium, the analysis will recognize different word forms. If you optimize for the keyphrase “sturdy shoe”, for example, it will also recognize “sturdier shoes”. This includes singulars, plurals, possessives, comparatives, and different tenses.
This means you can use different forms of your focus keyphrase, and the analysis will still be able to recognize them. There’s also great support for the use of synonyms. You don’t have to use the exact same keyphrase to get positive feedback.
If you enter “robust footwear” as a synonym to “sturdy shoes”, the checks in the Premium plugin account for that in the assessment. This enables you to write engaging, readable, and findable texts!
Content Insights

The Premium plugin also gives you more insights into your content, like which words you’ve used the most on a page or in a post.
We just count the words, which sounds pretty simple. While it is simple, it can give you very valuable insights to further optimize your post. For instance, it might make you realize that you’re writing about one word a lot more than the focus keyphrase you were actually aiming to write your post about.
With that in mind, you can adjust your text and focus more on the keyphrase you chose. What’s more, you might even find new words in that list that should really be on your keyword list!
Social Media Previews – Yoast SEO Premium Features

What’s next? Oh, I know, social previews. We have a Facebook and Twitter preview in Yoast SEO Free as well, but in Premium, you can actually see what your post will look. So, with these previews you can control which image, title, and description people will see when someone shares your post on Facebook or Twitter.
You’ll get an idea of whether the image you use grabs the attention or whether the title and the description you wrote are catchy and informative – all great ways to get more engagement out of your social shares.
